The exhibition hall is the indoor space where a fair displays its judged entries that are not animals: vegetables, preserves, baked goods, quilts, needlework, flowers, photography and children's projects. Entries carry ribbons and premium awards, and the hall is usually organized by department with a separate set of rules for each. It is the quietest part of a fair and the part that most directly shows what the surrounding farms and households actually produced that year.
